- IMPORTANTE!!! YO AUN NO LA HE PROBADO. NO ME HAGO RESPONSABLE DE LO QUE PUEDA PASAR.
- Información recogida de gps underground. El archivo no lo he subido yo. Lo he descargado, lo he abierto y la estructura parece correcta.
- Instalación:
SMEG + version software 4.1.D.R2
PROCEDURE FOR PREPARING THE USB FLASH DRIVE USING SMEG4.1.D.R2 SOFTWARE -
CD 20352
Install the SMEG4.1.D.R2 software - CD 20352 on a USB drive following the procedure below:
· Format a USB drive with a capacity of 2 to 8 Gb to FAT 32
Make sure the drive only contains the SMEG_PLUS_UPG folder at the USB stick root.
Remove the USB drive from the PC then reconnect it to make sure there are no additional
files in the USB drive's root directory. Only the SMEG_PLUS_UPG folder should appear.
This check is necessary as some USB drives add files automatically.
IMPORTANT:
Start the vehicle and keep the engine running.
Wait 1 minute
Insert the upgrade USB drive
The upgrade procedure will only start if the SMEG+ detects a software version later than or equal
to the current version on the USB drive.
If the software version on the USB drive is below that of the SMEG+, the upgrade procedure will
not start and an information message will appear ("The current version on your system is later than
the version on the inserted device").
UPGRADING THE SOFTWARE
After the USB drive is inserted, the system takes around a minute to identify the device, then the
message shown below appears on the screen:
Press YES. The following message appears:
"Upgrade/Checking compatibility..." for around 3 minutes.
The system restarts (screen goes black for 10 to 20 seconds then the brand logo appears) and the
upgrade procedure begins.
CD xxxxx: current system version
CD yyyyy: USB drive upgrade version
A succession of blue and black screens followed by the brand logo will appear during the upgrade.
Once the upgrade is complete, the product restarts. A black screen is followed by the brand logo
and the normal screen display: the upgrade is complete.
The upgrade takes around 20 minutes.
NOTE: once the product has restarted, the content of the USB drive is checked again and the
upgrade request appears: press NO and remove the USB drive.
4. CHECKING THE SOFTWARE VERSION
To confirm that the upgrade has successfully completed, you will need to check the product's
software version.
Press and hold the CONFIG button (5 seconds) and check the system information:
The software version should be as follows: SMEG4.1.D.R2, CD number 20352.
5. CHECKING THE MAP DISPLAY
Following the software upgrade, you will need to check the map display on the SMEG+ Navigation
products.
Press the NAV button to confirm that the map is correctly displayed:
SHUTTING THE PRODUCT DOWN
Switch off the ignition and wait for 4 minutes to ensure SMEG+ correctly saves the data.
CHECKS IN CASE OF UPGRADE PROBLEMS ON VEHICLE
Check that the size of the software retrieved from the link is 1.02 GB.
Check that the size of the software once decompressed and transferred to the USB stick is 1.20
GB.
Check that the USB stick has been inserted only after one minute with the engine running.
Check that the USB stick is formatted in FAT32.
Check that the folder SMEG_UPG is at the stick root (e.g.: G:/SMEG_PLUS_UPG/AUDIO_BT) and
that all the files are in this folder, as described in the chapter PROCEDURE FOR PREPARING
THE USB STICK.
If all these checks reveal no anomalies, try with another USB stick model.
